Sassa Grant Payment Dates For February 2023 | The Department of Social Development estimates that 31% of South Africa’s population depends on social grants, and the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) disburses millions of them each month.
The administration of a number of awards, such as the Child Support Grant, Old Age Pension, and Disability Grant, to eligible individuals is under the purview of Sassa.
Sassa Grant Payment Dates For February 2023
Sassa has confirmed that the grant payment dates for February 2023 are as follows:
- Older Person’s Grants: 03 February 2023
- Disability Grants: 04 February 2023
- All Other Grants: 05 February 2023
It’s crucial to remember that 1 February 2023 will also be a public holiday, but because it falls on a Sunday, it will be commemorated on Monday, 2 February 2023.
Sassa Grant Payment Dates For February 2023
As a result, Sassa won’t start making grant payments until Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
Beneficiaries have three options for getting their grants: directly into their bank accounts, through the CashSend service, or by using their Sassa cards at merchant locations.
These retail stores include, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Boxer, Checkers, USave and OK. Beneficiaries will not be charged for swiping their Sassa cards at these retail stores.
“There is no need rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed,” says Sassa.
The agency advises beneficiaries to wait a few days to collect their social grant as it will ensure that they miss the long queues outside of banks and retail stores.
