Job Context

SERVEST SHARED SERVICES – CORPORATE, HAS A VACANCY FOR A MARKETING ASSISTANT AT THE WATERFALL, HEAD OFFICES. THIS POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE EXECUTIVE MARKETING MANAGER. The candidate must have experience and their mode of transport.

Minimum Requirements

•National Senior Certificate / Grade 12. •Minimum: Marketing diploma, or related •Ideal: Bachelor’s /IMM post-graduate degree in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline •Own transport •3+ years’ experience in a marketing role, Proven experience as a Marketing Specialist or similar role. •Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods •Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (CRM), and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.) •Exceptional analytical, communication and writing skills

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES •Projects, Assist with planning, managing, implementing, and measuring marketing projects that arise. •Marketing Campaigns & Implementation, Participate in the development & implementation of go-to-market plans. •Business Support, Manage, plan and implement marketing support projects: ISO, HR, Code of Conduct, Sales etc. •Reporting, Assist with researching and collecting information, as well as providing relevant insight reports for the various areas of the business. •Event Management, Conduct post-implementation reviews (PIR) of each campaign to assess ROI. This includes consolidated and comprehensive monthly reporting on all Marketing and Comms activities. •Relationship Management, Develop and maintain relationships with peers, management, agencies and key stakeholders within the business KEY COMPETENCIES •Well-organised and detail-oriented •Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind •Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment •Plans and organizes own work in support of achieving the team priorities. Considers potential changes and proposes contingency plans. •Takes initiative in defining realistic outputs and clarifying roles, responsibilities and expected results in the context of the department’s programme. Evaluate his/her results realistically, drawing conclusions from lessons learned.
